Where our trucks go
Northwind technicians work every day across Hennepin, Dakota, Scott and Ramsey counties, from the older neighborhoods of South Minneapolis and St. Paul down through the first-ring suburbs and out to Lakeville and Plymouth. During a deep cold snap we dispatch no-heat calls by severity and distance from the nearest truck, so calling as soon as the furnace quits, rather than waiting to see if it restarts, gets you help faster.
Each city page covers the housing stock and the heating and cooling problems that come with it: the 1950s ramblers with original ductwork in Bloomington and Richfield, the boiler-heated homes of Minneapolis, the larger two-story houses of Edina and Eden Prairie, and the 1980s and 1990s subdivisions south of the river where first-generation equipment is reaching the end of its life.
