How it works
Mention financing when you book your replacement consultation. The application takes a few minutes on a phone or tablet, most approvals come back in minutes, and applying does not commit you to anything. You can also apply after the quote if you want to think it over first.
Financing is provided by third-party lenders, not by Northwind. Our pricing is the same whether you pay by check, card or monthly payment, and there is no prepayment penalty on any plan we offer.
Stacking financing with rebates
Utilities serving the Twin Cities generally offer rebates on high-efficiency furnaces, air conditioners and cold-climate heat pumps, and federal tax incentives may also apply depending on the equipment and the year. Those come back to you after installation. Many customers use a deferred-interest plan to bridge the gap, then apply the rebate toward the balance. Your comfort advisor will list the incentives your proposed system qualifies for and handle the paperwork we are able to file on your behalf.
Questions worth asking about any heating and cooling financing
Is the rate fixed for the whole term? What happens if a deferred-interest balance is not paid in time? Is there a fee to pay it off early? Does the quoted price change if you finance? We answer all four in writing before you sign.
